Tradition was bred to become a stronger, more disease resistant version of Hallertaur Mittelfruh. Best used as an aroma or flavor hop in European style ales and lagers such as Pilsner, Alt, and wheat beers, but its classic smooth flavor and refined noble aroma make this a versatile hop for a wide range of beer styles. A good substitute for Liberty or German Hallertau.
