These malt extract kits are designed to produce specific styles of beer with the addition of dextrose. We recommend replacing the dextrose with a comparable amount of malt extract or dried malt extract (DME)
Be aware that British malt extracts are darker than their color names might lead Americans to expect. What Brits call "light, amber and dark" might be better described as "amber, brown and black." You won’t be able to brew a pale beer with British malt extract.
