Klages is a malting barley cultivar that was used widely in 80’s and 90’s but has been largely replaced with Harrington Malt. The cultivar does not say anything about the type of malt produced from it, though recipes that (somewhat misguidedly) specify "Klages" are really asking for a domestic North American 2 Row Lager malt.
