Straight wine corks
Straight wine corks are the traditionaltried and true answer to sealing wine bottles. Our corks are all first quality. Standard wine corks (# 9) are 15/16" in diameter. 1-1/2" corks may be used for wines that are to be stored two years or less. 1-3/4" corks should be used for wines to be stored four or more years. Straight wine corks should be soaked in a half strength sulphite or other sanitizing solution before insertion. They must be inserted with a corking machine.
