Carafa Chocolate I, 300-375L- 5 lb
Although there are husked and dehusked Carafa malts, use of the term ’Carafa’ in North America normally refers to the dehusked variety - when in doubt, check! Removing the husk takes away a tremendous amount of astringency leaving a very smooth chocolatey/coffee flavour behind. Use in any recipe in place of chocolate malt for a smoother beer.
